Article 1, Section 8 of the Constitution provides Congress the power to enact "uniform laws on the subject of bankruptcies throughout the United States."  Thus, bankruptcy law is primarily federal law, and the Bankruptcy Code is codified at Title 11 of the United States Code.  Resources identified in this Guide will aid your understanding of how bankruptcy law operates and where to locate answers to your bankruptcy queries.
