1L Year - How to Succeed

The purpose of this guide is to demystify the law school experience, show some of the many resources you can use to improve your law school experience, and impart some advice on how to approach law school.

Define the Rule

Now that you have the structure of your outline down, you need to define the rules of law.

These definitions need to clearly capture what the law states and should come from your notes taken during the class. Though the definitions need to be clear, they should also reflect your own understanding of the law.

Next, you want to lay out all the elements of your rule.
