You may need to find statistics on a certain topic for your research. Depending on the topic, statistics may be easy to find, very difficult to find, or they may not appear to exist on the specific topic you are interested in. If you are having trouble finding statistics, consult with a law librarian to make sure you aren't missing anything.
Fordham Law Library has a helpful guide which includes some different common sources of statistics for legal scholarship, in areas such as criminal justice, immigration, economics, environment, and social sciences, as does Georgetown Law Library.
You may also find it useful to check out the University Libraries' Statistics databases.
Besides subscription databases like Statista, government websites may also gather and publish useful statistics, like the criminal justice statistics and data available through the the Bureau of Justice.
