Introduction

This guide provides resources for prospective and current members of the the University of Colorado Law Review (CLR).   Each quarter, the UCLR edits and publishes general-interest legal scholarship written by professors, practitioners, officials, and students. 

      • The Colorado Law Review has been the flagship academic journal at the University of Colorado Law School since 1928. It is a student-run, general-interest journal. CLR publishes four issues per year, including one “Symposium issue” based on the annual Rothgerber Conference on Constitutional Law put on by the law school’s Byron R. White Center.

      • Notable CLR-published authors include former U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, U.S. Supreme Court Justice Amy Coney Barrett, 10th Circuit Judge Allison H. Eid, Colorado Supreme Court Justice Melissa Hart, and prominent legal scholars like Professors Akhil Reed Amar and Erwin Chemerinsky.

Write-On Information

Typically, Write-On consists of properly citing about 20 sources and formulating a thesis and writing a short paper (5-7 pages) on a general topic we provide to you.

  • There is no GPA requirement.
  • Takes place after finals.
  • Write-On info sessions are generally held in April.
